For many years, I never realized how valuable my talents were to others. Since I began playing with Linux and building websites in the early 90s, I got really good at doing some fancy things because it was one of my passions. For fun, I would set up old PCs I had laying around and load Linux on them (for you geeks, I used the Slackware distribution on a bunch of floppys - those were the days). I started networking them together and learning the inside and out of tcp, upd, sockets, and anything else related to networking. I loved it. It was my passion (and still is).
Since it was one of my passions, I naturally enjoyed being around people with similar “hobbies” and skill sets. So, when the people I associated with knew the same things I knew, I didn’t “feel” like I had a marketable skill to others. I had the false impression that “everyone” knew about the same things. Sure, I felt like I knew more than a lot of people and might be able to make some money by selling my skills or knowledge but I WAY undersold my services. After many years, I finally realized how many people wanted the information that came so natural to me. Because it was second nature to me, I didn’t realize the value that information was to others.
What are your talents? What are you skilled at? Do you realize that there are a lot of people interested in your “second nature” skills and will pay good money to acquire some of your knowledge? All you need to do is to blog about it and create a product to sell. This can get you started on your way to success.
So, find your talents and realize how valuable they are to others. Don’t underestimate your value. Use it to be a success!

What if you didn’t have to go to your JOB because you didn’t need the money……..
What if you didn’t owe on a mortgage……..
What if your cars were paid in full…….
What if all your debts were paid off…….
What would you do?
What would you do with the “extra” time?
Think about it…..
Really think about it…..
Would you spend time with family? Would you spend time on your hobby? Would you travel?
Find that special thing you would do. Now, that very thing that you WANT to do can be the very thing that ENABLES you to do it. It is your passion. Take that passion and blog about it. Your passion will shine through in your blog. You will be known as an expert on that topic. Create a product about that passion and sell it on your blog. As you grow your site and visitors to your site, your sales and income will increase. As your income increases, you will have more time to spend on your passion which will again improve the content and quality of your expertise and of your blog. It will begin to be a snowball effect where you will begin to achieve your dreams (and passions).
Your passion will drive you. If you focus it in the right direction. It will be what makes you free. It is right there in front of your nose. Just notice it. And JUST DO IT!

Looking back on decisions I have made in the past and why I failed or quit at anything was quite often due a quiet little creeping creature called doubt. It usually isn’t obvious at the time but its grip is strong and deadly. Doubt will absolutely kill anything worth while if you let it.
Doubt creeps into your thoughts saying things like “you can’t write a good article”, “you’re not an expert”, or “no one will ever buy your product”. If you listen to doubt, you will never succeed. You will always come up with a reason not to do something. However, all of these reasons are just excuses. Nothing will ever get done when you dwell on what you can’t do.
Remember one of the most important rules is to “just do it”. If you wait to long or you try to make everything perfect, you will start letting doubt creep in and you will start focusing on the negatives and you will paralyze yourself and you won’t do anything. You will convince yourself that it wouldn’t have worked anyway. Once you realize you are sliding down the slippery slope of doubt, STOP IT! Focus on the positive and JUST DO IT!
