In the world of the Internet, everything is about information. The primary form of information in cyberspace is written (or typed) content. It is obviously the fuel that gives value to a website and is the primary reason someone will visit your site. The better the amount and quality of the information, the more visitors you will attract and the longer they will stay on your site. The content must be relevant to your site. If it is not, it will confuse your visitors and they will leave quickly - never to return again.
Be sure to have good quality related content on your site. Add more content frequently to give your visitors (customers) good reasons to keep returning to your site. This is one of the key ingredients in a successful site.

When I started up a web based business, I didn’t put much effort into it. I enjoyed building web sites and figuring out how to do things online but I would accomplish the task at hand and that would be it. Then, my normal everyday routine would get in the way of me progressing the business. It wasn’t a big deal to me at the time because I thought everything was going fine. I had my regular full time job and I was doing OK with money. So, needless to say, the business did not grow. It was just a little side hobby that was making me a few dollars a month. So, that was cool. Later on, I found my motivation….
My wife and I had our first child. In one precious moment, my responsibilities in life had dramatically changed. Now I had real motivation. I had to provide for another life. As the years went on, we had more children and more responsibility. Also, the money started disappearing a LOT faster as the kids needed more food, clothes, medical expenses, school tuition and supplies. The expenses just seemed to keep growing exponentially while my salary was pretty much the same. I could quickly see I needed more income quickly. This was my motivation and drive to really focus on marketing online.
What is your motivation? You need to have something that really drives you to do more than you normally would. Is it family? Is it getting out of debt? Is it financial freedom?
Find your motivation and use it to drive you to success.

One of the most distracting things that can keep you from being successful is being distracted and not focusing on what needs to be done to grow your business. When I first started marketing on the internet, I researched for countless hours about how to market. While doing so, I found a LOT of information on building a successful internet business. The problem was, I found too much and got so busy learning every marketing method and buying every marketing product that I never did anything! One of the most important things to realize and put into practice is to focus. Identify your plan and stick to it. Don’t keep jumping from one thing to another. Stick with a plan and test, test, test. Once you get your test results, adjust your marketing accordingly and test, test, test. Repeat this process over and over to maximize your conversions.
